Map of Dive Sites

Telang Usan travel, in 1998, expanded its services to include SCUBA diving packages. To date, it is Sarawak's most comprehensive centre for diving information, and is the only travel agency in Sarawak with its in-house PADI Divemaster.

Please Note : SCUBA divers are strongly recommended to be covered under the Divers Association Network (DAN).
Recognised recompression chambers are available in Singapore and Labuan.

SIPADAN : Wall Diving
Named as one of the top wall dives of the world, Sipadan is the only oceanic island off Malaysia and drops to 600 metres. The island is famous as a turtle sanctuary, with guaranteed turtle sightings in the water. Sipadan is also blessed with a rich and diverse fish population. The area can be dived all year round.
LUCONIA SHOALS : Live-aboard
Luconia Shoals are located approximately 150 nautical miles north of Miri. The site is accessible only by live-aboard, and would constitute exploratory diving due to the large area and low frequency of visits from divers. The reef is estimated to cover 200 square miles! The area is virtually untouched, and large pelagics including manta rays have been spotted. Tuna and Black-tip sharks are not uncommon. The area is dived in the months of April to August.
Layang-Layang
With breathtaking visibility that has been known to reach 50 metres, Layang-Layang is a sunken atoll south of the Spratleys that is a favourite of photographers. Currents are medium to strong, and dives tend to be drifts. Hence, the area is suitable for more experienced divers. Dive season from April to September.
MIRI
Miri's dive sites havc only recently been established, and their locations vary from 10 minutes' to 1 hours' speedboat ride from Miri. Better known for macro photography, Miri's fish life is mainly small and colourful. Dive season between April and August.
LABUAN : Wreck Diving
Labuan has 4 main wrecks ( two sunk in the Second World War ) that are best dived in the months of April to August. The wrecks are 4 and 5-star rated, with a good variety of soft coral and smaller fish. The average depth of the wrecks is 20 metres.
